This tailored service is perfect for dogs who thrive with 1-to-1 care and attention. Whether your dachshund prefers a quieter environment, isn’t particularly social, or simply feels more comfortable without other dogs around, our solo boarding option ensures they receive dedicated care in a calm, stress-free setting.
Solo boarding is especially suited for:
- Unneutered dogs
- Dogs who prefer their own space or a quieter lifestyle
- Dogs who may not be comfortable in group settings
- Sausages with siblings of a different breed who aren’t suited to our standard Dachshund home boarding environment

Our Solo Boarding Service has been carefully designed to provide a calm, personalised experience for each dog, while giving owners complete peace of mind. This service is run personally by Katie, who has been a part of Daxie Den since the very beginning and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to every stay. 1. Initial Enquiry & Suitability Check
We start with a conversation to understand your dog’s needs, personality, and routine. This helps us ensure that solo boarding is the right fit and allows us to tailor the experience to them.
2. Meet & Greet
We arrange a meet and greet so your dog can become familiar with Katie and the environment. This helps build trust and ensures a smooth, stress-free stay.
3. Tailored Routine
During their stay, your dog will follow a routine based on what they’re used to at home—feeding times, walks, rest, and play are all personalised. With no other boarding dogs present, your sausage receives full one-on-one care and attention from Katie throughout the day.
4. Calm, Dedicated Environment
Solo boarding means your dog will stay in a quiet, low-stimulation setting without the presence of other guest dogs. This is ideal for those who prefer their own space or need a more relaxed atmosphere.
5. Regular Updates for Owners
Katie will keep you updated with messages, photos, and videos so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, settled, and well cared for.
6. Collection & Feedback
When it’s time to go home, Katie will provide a little update on how your dog got on during their stay, including anything helpful for future visits.
